Peter Lenrow began painting after retiring to his home in Westport Point in 2011. He had always loved watercolor paintings, and chose to explore that medium. Without any prior training, he joined the WAG Thursday Painting Group en plein air in July, 2011. His informal teachers have been the small number of very accomplished watercolor artists in the Thursday group. And he has recently begun taking part in watercolor workshops, such as Don Andrews’ week-long workshop on landscapes. The paintings shown in this gallery represent his work as a beginner –- from two months to a total of nineteen months of experience. They are displayed to thank the artists who have encouraged him and been generous with tips and suggestions.
