LET’S MAKE COLOR, NOT MUD!

Taught by Patricia Schneider

Friday; May 8, 2026 9am-1pm

Artwork by Patricia Schneider

Often we hear people say how did you get that color?

We will focus on nailing colors using an approach that gives you the correct color without making mud! We’ll explore and identify how to see Chroma, Value and Hue to easily match colors that are giving you trouble. Beginning with some simple exercises and working towards more complex colors, you will learn an approach that works for most mediums including oil, watercolor, acrylics or colored pencil. ( No pastels, please) Instructor will provide all photos and some supplies. ( Limited to 14 participants)

*Students are encouraged to bring in a photo that is giving you trouble so we may discuss and help simplify (these are for discussion only).
