Kitt Shaffer
I have painted in oils since High School, with an interest in ceramics, both functional and sculptural beginning in 1998. For many years I have captured images of the places I visit, initially through photography and later in pastels, colored pencil and watercolor. I have spent time in Grenada in the Caribbean, in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, in China, and in Calabria in the South of Italy, where I also have a small painting studio. Recently I have begun working with oil on canvas from my drawings to capture the beauty and mystery of the places I love. I have also begun to explore white line printing and furniture painting. All of these media are shown on my website.
