Doris Magovern

My passion has always been the arts. Sailing along the New England Coast for many years gave me inspiration for my paintings of coastal scenes and surrounding landscapes. Most of my paintings are plain air in watercolor and oil.

I studied at the Springfield Museum of Fine Arts and was a docent there for many years. Also, I studied with Susan Tilton Pecora, Helen Nadler, David Lussier, Meredith Cornell and presently with Trish Hurley.

My paintings have been in juried shows including the National Academic Art Association Show in Springfield. I am a member of Tobacco Valley Art Association of Connecticut, Academic Art Association, Westport Art Group, and the South Coasts Artists.
