Donna Ritenour Massano

My lifelong interest in art and color was triggered by a set of pastels given to me by my parents as a birthday gift. Over many years, I visited numerous museums and churches in Europe and the United States. I was particularly inspired by the use of color by many of the great artists. Hiking and camping throughout New England gave me a unique appreciation of nature in its mountains and seashore.
Through observation and using the dynamic color and unique techniques of pastels, I am able to create pieces that bring to life nature’s beauty.
As a member of The Westport Art Group, The Pastels Painters Society of Cape Cod, and Dartmouth Cultural Center, I have exhibited in juried and judged shows and received recognition and honorable mention for many pieces.
